This video is divided into two parts. Part One is a narrated film produced by Grumman Aircraft Corporation during WWII. It documents the design, construction and testing of the F6F Hellcat. Includes excellent scenes of the Hellcat being put through her paces, as well as, good footage (including aerials) of Grumman's Bethpage Long Island plant during the war and day-to-day activities of the workers.Part two (approx. 10 minutes) consists of random scenes of Hellcats and F4F Wildcats, pilots and flight deck personnel aboard various aircraft carriers in the Pacific during WWII.
