Amazon.com essential video
Join Ernie at The Furry Arms Hotel for a musical lesson in just how useful counting can be. When Ernie finds and returns a misplaced key, he uses his knowledge of numbers to return the key to the correct guest. As Ernie begins to learn about the hotel business, he finds many common situations in which counting is essential. Throughout the 30-minute video, Ernie and his friends help children learn to count from 1 to 20 with such songs as the jazzy "That's How the Numbers Go," an original version of the Chorus Line show tune "One," and "Rap Song #11." Favorite Sesame Street characters Elmo and The Count are joined by new characters including Ding the Dinger, a furry fellow with a bell on his head, and Benny, the bellboy that responds to Ding the Dinger's dings. Children as young as 18months will bounce happily along with the catchy tunes and 2-year-olds will be inspired to count aloud with Ernie. Kids up to age 5 will hone their counting skills and laugh at the increasingly frustrated Benny as he delivers everything from 1bucket of ice to 15stampeding elephants! If you're looking for a fun video that teaches counting skills, here it is. --Tami Horiuchi

5 out of 5 stars Granddaughter loves it   November 26, 2008
My 22 month old granddaughter love this video. She loves to it's jazzy music and even sings with Elmo, etc. She know the number 5 now and no doubt the rest of the numbers in no time. She gets a lot of repetition from us, too.

5 out of 5 stars GREAT VIDEO,EDUCATION,FUN AND ENTERTAINING..   October 7, 2008
The dvd arrived last week, for my 8 month old granddaughter. I decided on this dvd after reading the 5 star reveiws. I'm happy with the choice. It's educational, fun and entertaining. My granddaughter stops to look and listen when she hears several songs, rock around the clock, elmo singing #5 song and the crows singing.I'm sure as she gets older this be one of her favorite dvds.I usually play it twice back to back because I enjoy her smiles when she reacts to the songs. I HIGH RECOMMEND THIS DVD. I'm going to purchase another one so she will have one at her home.

5 out of 5 stars very entertaining and educational!   October 6, 2008
My 19 month old son loves this video! It is about 30 minutes long- just enough time to clean up the kitchen and get a few other things done around the house. All the favorite characters are there as well as a few new ones I did not know about including "Benny the Bunny" who is really funny..Elmo does a rap for the number 5 that thrills my son. Good quality both sound and sight.

5 out of 5 stars Fun Learning!   August 30, 2008
We first borrowed this from a friend and I am now ordering a copy for ourselves. My 4-yr old son love it! This is the best tool yet to improve his number skills. It is fun yet simple, and he never gets bored watching it. Even my 6-yr old son enjoys it.

I highly recommend this DVD. It is worth every cent!

5 out of 5 stars Best learning tools ever   August 16, 2008
They should be using these old Sesame Street video's in public school. It is probably the fastest and easiest way to teach.
