Ordered DVD on Friday recieved on Monday! Excellent instruction. Perfect for total beginners. The warmup and the 5 five minute combinations will yield a nice 30 minute workout, you can choose music with voice over or just music. Great value for your money!

I have the luxury of living in Los Angeles and being a student of Jenna's. I had to take a 8 month break from class and utilized her DVDs. Not only did I not miss a beat I feel that I learned even more from her DVDs. Jenna is in my opinion the best belly dance teacher in the country. She knows how to teach and break down the movements in a way you can understand them. If I ever have to move away I know I can rely on the DVDs. I have bought many belly dance DVDs in the past year and NOTHING compares to Jenna's. For those who don't live in LA buy her DVDs it is EXACTLY the same as being in class. Her DVDs are really the only ones you need in your collection. I get compliments all of the time from other belly dancers on my technique and it is all due to Jenna. If you want to be a good belly dancer then buy her DVDs, she is an expert.
A must for Beginners, excellent for intermediates as well. May 28, 2008

If you are a beginner too scared to venture beyond your lounge room to learn bellydancing the instruction in this DVD will certainly give you more than enough of the basics to get familiar with the physical movements involved in bellydancing. For the more advanced it is so greatly detailed that it serves as a excellent reminder of form and style.
For some the lack of a choreography will be frustrating, but as the title states this DVD is intended for those new to bellydancing and Jenna encourages the beginner to seek out a teacher and a class.
As far as instructional bellydancing DVDs go this is the best I've seen so far, clear, concise and wonderfully detailed you can not go wrong with this one.

Jenna is so professional and beautiful and really gives you a sense that you WILL get it, just keep it up. This DVD is PACKED with different techniques and isolations, perfect for a nice long relaxing practice, or you can break it up into sections.
Definitely recommended!
