I just got this dvd. WOW! Clear precise instruction. The instructor did not rush you through the basic movements like so many do. I wish I had gotten this one first. The other dvd's I've ordered in the past were nowhere near as helpful.

Jenna is a fun teacher and she is very educated about what she is talking about. This is packed full of good information.

Okay so I have quite a few DVD's beginner to advanced. I have Amira, Blanca, Neon, Leila (sp? shimmies). Anyhow for someone who is new to bellydance Jenna's DVD is my top pick. Here's my 1-5 scale run down for why. One is Blah and five Fabulous.
Time: 5 can you say long and thorough? great menu options for accessibility although wish they were highlighted in something other than white.
Visuals: 5 You can see her legs (yeah!), nothing distracting in a word perfect
Replayability: 5 From hipdrops, to shimmies and everything you never thought of before or has been presented by other DVD's it's on here. I play this one every day. It's not as fun as say Shamiras but then I somehow figured out Shamira's and was missing a massive amount of the bellydancing fundamentals. I still recommend Shamiras and Blancas, but for basics this is the top of the line.
Cost: 5 love it; so worth every penny
Instructor likability: 5 Jenna's very elegant, professional, cuing is on target.
Recommend: 5 You won't find anything better and this DVD has been ten times more thorough than my bellydance class I'm taking; which is why I just love this DVD, but am disgruntled with my bellydance class.
Thinking of buying? Don't hesitate.

I think this is the best I have seen in terms of quality of instruction. It makes sense of all my other DVDs - everything is so well explained!

I have purchased several instructional DVDs over the years and this is by far one of the bests. For the price and the amount of instruction you get, it can't be beat. Jenna breaks down the moves excellently. This is a perfect supplement for students that are enrolled in a live class.
